Description: A GRAS(generally recognized as safe) food preservative proved by the FDA. It is a salt of sorbic acid naturally found in some fruits,  used as a food additive to fight bacteria. Often used in personal care items as a preservative as well as many food and beverages. Odorless and tasteless, used to prolong the shelf life of food, antibacterial, mold, yeast and fungi.
